Pharmacy is in such high demand, ANY pharmacy school is good.
In SoCal, there is:
University of Southern California (Los Angeles)
UC San Diego (San Diego)
Loma Linda (Loma Linda)
Western University (Pomona)
My wife went to UoP. It’s ok. Before the recent explosion of new pharmacy schools, the reputations of the 3 main pharmacy schools were in this order:
UCSF
USC
UOP
(you can throw in Western U below UOP if you want to include them on the list; the other schools now available are basically brand spanking new with no reputation really).
But, reputation really doesn’t matter anymore since there’s such a severe shortage of pharmacists in the US.
yes
I may not know about Southern Cali, but in Nor Cal the University of the Pacific has an AWESOME Pharmacy program. Students come here from all over the world to get into that program, plus it allows you to work with local pharmacies to get experience. (Granted the city it is located in isn’t the best, but the campus is beautiful and there is a lot t participate in…) good luck, hope this gives you an option to just look into, or reference for classes needed.
