Becoming A Pharmacist In Georgia….?

This Question From Pharmacy Technician Schools in Georgia | 2 Answers

QUESTION:

My husband is interested in going to college to become a pharmacist. I am trying to figure out where we need to begin to get him started, but am lost. I have found a couple of local schools that offer pre-pharmacy, but thats as far as I am getting. He works full time and does not plan on changing jobs until after her graduates, so I am trying to find a school where he can take core classes online after work, and then once he gets further along in the program can begin taking classes on campus. Can anyone please help me figure out where to begin looking. When I try getting info through search engines I can only find info about becoming a pharmacy technician, not an actual pharmacist. Please help!!

The university of Georgia, Mercer, and South University have pharmacy programs. All science courses must be taken at a physical university/cc. It’ll take a minimum of 2 years to take all the pre-pharm courses. Look up those programs, and see their pre-reqs. Once he gets closer, he’ll have to take the PCAT. It is a standardized exam for pharmacy schools. Most colleges use the PharmCAS system for applications.

a lot of pharmacists study chem or biochem, you might try those majors
I don’t know how you could study chem on-line though.
