QUESTION:
I’m going to be a senior in the 2009-2010 school year.
I’m really interested in being accepted to U of M preferred Pharmacy admissions. This is what I have so far:
4.1 GPA
3.84 GPA Unweighted
Top 2% of my class
28 on my ACT (going to retake it for sure to score somewhere in the 30s)
Taken honors classes since freshman year and 4 AP classes
Science courses:
Honors biology, honors chemistry, AP Chemistry, AP biology, college general chemistry (+lab), College Inorganic chemistry(+lab; 5 credits), College Inorganic chemistry II (+lab; 5 credits)
Honors math classes since 7th grade
Taken numerous college classes (over 25 credits)
Taking classes at University of Michigan Dearborn in the fall and winter
Have a 4.000 GPA at college
Board member of my Red Cross Club
Key Club member
PreMed Club member
NHS
School Newspaper
Phi Theta Kappa member (college honors club)
Made the Dean’s List twice
Volunteered at my local pharmacies since Nov 2008 (over 150 hrs)
Volunteered at a hospital
Volunteered at a hospice
Planning on volunteering at a nursing home this summer
Volunteering at many Blood Drives
Raising money for school events, fundraisers, etc.
2 years of foreign language
Organizing a project to raise toys/money for hospital kids this Christmas

My concern is that I did not do much extracurriculars in 9th and 10th grade and I still haven’t joined any sports
