Careers:Dentist, Pharmacy, Vet?

This Question Is From: Pharmacist Salary and has 3 Answers

I am a senior in highschool and I find myself stressing out constantly about what I want to do in life. I have ALWAYS wanted to be a vet but I just don’t think I would be able to do it. I thought about dentistry or pharmacy. I’m leaning more towards pharmacy because of the less schooling and job opportunities. Any advice??

Go with what you really want deep in your heart. If you have a longing to be a vet, be one. Don’t let anyone or anything stop you just because you think you can’t do it. If you set your heart to it anything can happen.

Find a good college with all these majors, then you can select when you get into the school. First two years, requires geneal studies – math, science, english etc….
Take some classes that might be related to these majors, then you will find out about them. All these require very strong chemistry background,

Go to the careers counsiller and ask them if they could hook you up with some work experience with a vet clinic, dental office and pharmacy. That way you get to experience first hand what each job is actually like.
I think you need to do this before you just lurch into random degrees – at the end discovering you wanted to do something else.
    Good luck
