]]> I’m 35 and have a BA in Psychology but never entered into that field. I live in Southern California. I’ve spent my working life in office jobs and just got laid off from a very stressful job in the mortgage industry. I’m looking to make a change and I qualify for a federal program where they will pay for training in a field that is “in demand.” The only one in the program that appealed to me was the Pharmacy Tech program. I expect to take a major pay cut at first but does anyone know how much I can make after a few years of experience and my certificate? I don’t plan on going to med school to be a Pharmacist just so that’s clear.

so after taking a course/program and taking/passing the PTCB, what is the process after that? i am confused about the whole licensing process and CE hours and all that stuff? help me! thanks!

Also, if I end up attending a unviersity without a pre-pharmacy program, but want to go to a graduate school as a pharmacist, what should I major in as an undergraduate?

]]> Where can i find information on schools that offer programs to become a pharmacist within five years? Collegeboard.com was less helpful than I had hoped. I want to find a school in California, USA.
The university of the pacific is a private school with one of the best programs but I want to see if there are any other options.
University of California Santa barabra is the only UC (uni of cali) that offers pharmacy as a major, (atleast according to collegeboard).
please help…i just wanna know my options or atleast a place I can find out more information

I am a transfer student from a community college, so it’s very hard to change my major, especially to an impacted one like bio. Do pharmacy schools accept people with non bio/chem degrees like sociology? If so, what are the percentages and how likely will I be accepted?
