This Question Is From: Pharmacy Technician Schools in Alaska and has 1 Answer
I am looking to move up there next year. My girlfriend is graduating from Pharmacy School next April so it would hopefully be in the summer time. I have heard of the Million Dollar sign on for Pharmacists but have not actually seen it because it is of course very hard to come across. I am looking for something along those lines. Big sign on, good salary, relocation expenses, loan repayments, outside of the main cities, etc. Does anybody know how to find these offerings?

I’m not a pharmacist. However, I do know that there are different employers of pharmacists (hospitals, some medical clinics, and retail). Depending on whom you sign on with, your job responsibilities and years of experience will determine your salary.
Also you need to be realistic in your assessment of jobs. You say you want to live outside the main cities but you want a big sign on, relocation expenses, loan repayments, etc. Those small town pharmacies DON’T have the funds to pay you a large salary. Neither does a smaller hospital. And I highly doubt they will reimburse on relo and loan repayments. With so many conditions, they will just go with someone who is willing to take less and be content with that.
Keep an eye on the economy as well. I’m sure there are a lot of out of work pharmacists out there like everyone else.
