I am currently enrolled in the pharmacy technician program at HGTC in South Carolina, and I want to pursue a career to be a pharmacist. Do I still have to take 6 years of schooling to be a pharmacist or does my schooling as a pharmacy technician help any?

    Still 6 years. The classes for pharmacy technicians do not overlap with any of the classes you need for pharmacy school.

    ur tech license doesnt help u with anything…..u will need to do all ur pre-reqs and get a degree which takes anywhere form 3-4 years then apply and attend pharmacy school which will take another 3-4 years depending on the school
