i’m currently a student at a community college, and have finally decided to be a pharmacist. i live in south jersey, therefore i’m interested in Temple University- if i’m a biology major at my community college what do i have to do after this, do i have to get a undergrad degree, and if so in what?
can someone please guide me in the right procedure to pursue my education without wasting time and money on classes that i won’t need- since i’ve already wasted alot of money and time being undecisive.

What I recommend doing is talking to Temple’s admissions and telling them that you’re interested in Pharmacy and what pre-requisite classes you will have to take. Also ask if certain ones from your community college transfer there. You can also go and look on their website at the Pharmacy program and what classes are required for undergrads.
If I recall correctly it’s like Med school, there is NO “required” major, just major in whatever you please, keep the GPA HIGH, and take the classes needed to apply for the Pharmacy school. Instead of the MCAT you have to take the PCAT for Pharmacy.
Admission will boil down too (for the Pharmacy school not Temple)
1. High GPA 3.5+ (at most places I know)
2. PCAT scores
3. Required courses taken
Again you do not usually need a certain major, they wouldn’t care if you were a history major.
