Sure you can, but she’s going to want 1/2 of everything if she pays half. You won’t have much from about $250 a week left over, but sure you can. Just keep in mind November is a long, long way off from now.

I dont see why not. You will need first months and security deposit and maybe last months rent. You will need to buy furniture, pay utilities if the landlord doent include them. Cable, phones, insurance, gas, electric, Car notes, entertainment..etc Not sure how much rent runs for in Massachusetts but with 2 incomes for a apartment you and your friend should be fine, but before moving in you better make sure you can really trust him/her to pay their half of the rent and that they won’t bail out on you or other wise you will be responsible for paying the rent in full. Try and find something where utilities are included even if this means paying a little more. It will be worth it!

Normally it is suggested that your bills be around 35% of your take home pay. of course there are always exceptions, but the above is a calculator for stress free living. For your first apartment, you and everyone else will probably be more around 75 % of your takehome, leaving enough left over for some enjoyment. Take your time. Create a budget starting with Rent and utilities at the top, then school, then car expenses if there are any. Everything else comes secondary. It is not that hard to have an apartment, and if you and your girlfriend can agree to pay the bills on time, it won’t be stressful at all. I definitely say that an 18 year old that wants to move out and is responsible, SHOULD, to avoid eventual problems at home. Good Luck

Create a budget and figure it out for yourself.
It’s a question no one else can answer since we don’t know what all your expenses are. And even if we did, you need to do a budget, understand what your income and expenses are, and then make a common sense decision.
Think of this another way: If you don’t move out, how much money can you save for 2 years?
