you can just take the test if you are working, in a pharmacy for example…..that’s what I did. I was working at Walgreens..and they paid for the test. I didn’t take any classes…but they gave me some information to review…
FYI: it’s not a high paying job if you are considering this as a career….retail you’ll probably make about $10/hr certified..and in a hospital…maybe 12-14.

You do have to go to school. Look into a school in your area if thats what you are interested in.
I took a corespondent course, cheaper then college ($1200) and I could do everything on line. So I continued to work full-time and do my studies, some companies do certify their techs but I don’t think it’s equivalent to schooling…good luck Oh you could always contact CAPT (Canadian association of pharmacy technician), they might be able to direct you in some of your questions

I believe its like a one year class and then you’re able to take the test.
