Is There A Pharmacy Career With Low Patient Contact?

This Question From Pharmacy Careers | 2 Answers

QUESTION:

I understand that nuclear pharmacy has lower patient contact than say working in a retail outlet. I was wondering if any pharmacy career besides nuclear pharmacy had lower patient contact.

Sam’s has a long standing program for business members to fax their orders one day and pick them up the next. The reason Wal-Mart is backing single payer is for the Rx intake default from the steadiest growing customer base in the country.
If prescription fulfillment is not 24/7, it soon will be, even at the non twenty four hour stores. Perhaps you could work third shift or at the warehouse itself. Good Luck.

Yes only if you work in a hospital setting pharmacy (which pays better than retail for pharm techs) or you can work as a pharmacist for a mail order drug company. that would be retail kind of but basically no patient contact.
