This Question Is From: Pharmacy Technician Schools in Minnesota and has 1 Answer

I’m a sophomore in high school right now and i want to be a pharmacist. I looked at the ranking of pharmacy schools, and i found out it’s #4 in the nation, so this school is like my top choice right now.
Is this school easy to go in? my weighted gpa is 4.2 and my unweighted is 3.9, it might drop a little since i might get more B’s… i’m not sure what my SAT or ACT score is since i never taken any yet, but can someone tell me what’s the score i need to get in? i didnt join any athletic club, but im in nhs. and im thinking about find a job this year. im an ap student and i do quite a lot of community service. whats my chance of getting into this university?
is the pharmacy program really that good? how’s the professor? and how’s the dorm there? can you pick your own roommate? can you switch from boys dorm to coed dorm in your second year?
sorry that there’re so many questions to answer, thank you very much ^^

Yes — it is an excellent university. It is not quite as selective as many of the other top public universities — but its faculty and many of its academic programs are very highly regarded. You can get an excellent education there.
If you can maintain your grades, you should have no problem getting in if you have reasonable SAT scores.
The drawbacks to the University of Minnesota are that it is very large and that the winters are brutal. However, Minneapolis is a great city to live in.
