LEARN HOW TO BECOME A PHARMACY TECHNICIAN WITH THE ADVICE OF REAL PEOPLE

This Question From Pharmacy Technician Schools in North Carolina | 1 Answer

QUESTION:

I am completing a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry and am simultaneously seeking admission into pharmacy school as well as Med school. I figure if I don’t get into pharm school which is more competitive here, I might still have a chance to be a doctor.
Anyway, give me any advice you can. I reside in North Carolina and wish to attend school here. Any comments about the schools, programs, admissions. Anything. I would just like some feedback. Thanks

Major newbie mistake: Med School is NOBODIES back up. You are completely incorrect if you think that Pharmacy school is harder to get into than, say, Duke Med School (which btw is a wonderful NC school). The misconception is because more people get into medical school than pharm. This is because there are more schools. However, the level of students that get in is significantly higher than pharmacy school. Trust me on this, I’ve taught the PCAT and the MCAT prep courses. PCAT is a walk in the park compared to the MCAT. So switch your priorities around, if you can’t make it into medical school, then shoot for pharm or Osteopathic school (DO instead of MD). Mail me your scores and extracurriculars if you want a more personalized evaluation.
