   There are quite a few posts at http://www.ripoffreport.com (can just type into search) about people not getting their materials or such. Please do steer clear of those online, for-profit schools such as penn foster, stratford career, capella, strayer, ITT tech and others as they are merely out to ‘make a profit’ (and course credits may not transfer).
   Some say that one doesn’t necessarily need formal training for pharmacy tech, however, one would think that the extra knowledge would help the person to feel that much more competent in his or her skill level as well as being more competitive in the work force.
   If still interested in training, please consider the county vo-tech school or community college as long as it’s accredited within the industry.

   Most states don’t require any formal education or certification. Most pharmacies will train you. Getting a formal education will not increase the starting salary but certification will generally increase your salary by $1 per hour. The average starting salary for a non-certified tech is $9-$10 an hour.

   penn foster is a great school but you have to check with your specific state just call penn foster. on rip off their are a lot of lies and sour grapes
   you have to pay on time or they will come after you
   call kmart and ask what you need
