I went to www.ptcb.org and looked at their study materials..there are a lot.. would I need all of those in order to pass the test? I always thought you had to go to college in order to become a pharmacy technician. As long as I pass the test does that make me a certified pharmacy tech? …Do I need to be certified? Does it pay well?
I am thinking of taking a class to be a certified Pharmacy Technician. This is a 50-hour course that will prepare me to enter the pharmacy field and to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board’s PTCB exam. Is it necessary to be certified? Has anyone taken a similar course? Is it an easy field to get a job in with a certificate but no experience? Does it pay well? Is the course a difficult one? I do not have any background in this field, but feel that it is something I might enjoy and may have many job opportunities. Can anyone give me any advice?
