Am thinking about taking the PTCB certification exam because I have heard that Florida just past a law requiring all pharmacy technicians to have their PTCB certification. I would like to find a job afterward as a pharmacy tech.
My question is: Do I have to have pharmacy technician training like at a vocational school, to work in as pharmacy tech after the new law is passed in 2010? or do I just need my PTCB certification?

No you dont have to get training. Certain pharmacies will hire people with no training. They will make you a pharmacy associate (registers) and train you to take the state exam. CVS for example you should apply to. Or walmart.
If no one will hire you then go for training, but apply first!
