I live in Canada and you can apply for pharmacy school after first year, however most people dont get accepted until their in third year. My friend wants to be a pharmasist and she went and talked to her local pharmacist and he told her to do a degree in nursing because even if you dont become a pharmacist you''l stil get a job. Pharmacy school is really compatative to get into, I live in Ontario Canada and uo until this year their was only one pharmacy school in teh whole province!! (know there's 2) lol. But do whatever you feel is best. Remeber study something you like cause then you'll do well in it and will have a higher chance of getting into pharmacy school. Hey

So competition will be heavy. I have read news articles that state some companies court pharmacy students while they are still in school. So if an extra course in biochemistry can give you a leg up above the others, that maybe a good ideal. It would not hurt to contact a company and asked that what they look for in candidates.
