LEARN HOW TO BECOME A PHARMACY TECHNICIAN WITH THE ADVICE OF REAL PEOPLE
This Question From Pharmacy Technician Schools in Michigan | 3 Answers
i am reaching the end of my high school career, and i was wondering, is it better to go to a great undergraduate school that might not be so hot in pharmacy, like stanford, yale, northwestern, washington university in st. louis, and take pre-pharm req classes, or go to a mediocre school for undergrad (that is a great pharmacy school) like UCSD, ohio state, michigan state, so on and so forth.
P.S. i really want to go to stanford, but is it a wise choice if i know i want to do pharmacy?

I would say go to the school with the Pharm program. Here in Indiana we have Purdue and Butler. I know the Butler program is easier to get into if you go there for all of your classes.

Contact admissions in the pharmacy schools and ask them what they think. Then you will have the info. from the people who are making the decisions as to if they will accept you from another school.
Personal opinion, if you can afford a great school like Stanford or Yale, and can get in, GO. Just being accepted to those schools shows that you are somebody that would be an asset to their school, as long as you keep your grades up. You can also try to do extra in the pre-pharm program, like volunteer to help with projects, or work in a pharmacy.
A degree from Stanford or Yale will open lots of doors for you. And if you change your mind about pharmacy, you’ll have a great education.
