I ordered one from them and used it to successfully pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) on the first try more than 2 years ago. While certification was not required where I work (an independent, retail pharmacy) most of the other techs were certified and I felt that it would help make me more valuable to my employer. I believe it has done that for me. If you don’t like the idea of studying on your own, consider a community college course. While these would be more expensive than a study-at-home course, the instructors you have may be able to recommend you to local employers. Personally, I am glad I became certified. The exam was difficult and my first thought after taking it was that I had failed. But I passed. Now if I ever wanted to find a better job, I can tell potential employers that I am certified. The certification formalizes my knowledge and shows that I am serious about being a pharm tech.
