LEARN HOW TO BECOME A PHARMACY TECHNICIAN WITH THE ADVICE OF REAL PEOPLE
This Question From Pharmacy Technician Certification | 12 Answers
I’m a pharmacy tech and got the certification when I was 16. It’s decent pay if you work part time based on what other students make, but if this is the career you plan to stick with, I would say a x-ray because you will make more money and get more benefits from the hospital you decide to work for, otherwise for a pharmacy, you”l be considered the cashier and be required to join the union.

GG said it best. Choose a career that will make you happy and not the pay. If you choose a career strictly on pay, you will not be happy or stick with it in the long haul.
Richie Rich, think first before posting such an idiotic post. You obviously have no idea what a certified pharmacy technician does. They just do NOT count pills all day.
Sorry, you sometime meet a bunch of people here that just do not give good advice but just act snotty and rude!

i believe an X-ray tech would make more money…
regardless though… pick a job on what you will enjoy and not the pay… stress and happiness would benefit greatly…

x-ray tech, but the schooling is longer and more expensive…usually about two years. That’s what it is near me and there is a Pharmacy Tech program for 6 months.

Check out salary.com for each of the different salary ranges. I believe the xray technician gets paid more though. It really all depends on the location too.

I don’t know but wouldn’t the xray tech be a lot more interesting than bottling pills all day?

If by x-ray tech, you mean radiological tech- by far a rad tech makes more. An x-ray tech certification usually does not qualify you as a rad tech, but just to do x-rays at a dentist or docs office. You need a 2 year degree for a rad tech.
If looking at just certifications, a pharmacy tech would probably make more
