Think of the supporters of high stakes testing that don't allow for student growth at their own pace - that is a key platform of the Republican Party - and the reason why so many who cannot pass the tests - leave school. How much better to allow them to learn at their own pace - to provide early learning opportunities. Wait until that gov of Alaska has to get services for her child and gets turned down for a Waiver because the funds have been cut or special programs are too full or don't exist because schools have to spend all their money putting gas in the busses. Gas that her buddies in the Oil Companies sell to China and Japan - that's the real problem. Can't see any Republicans helping on that at all.
