And Boston is SUCH a great college city. Smith is one of the most prestigious schools on your list. But if you think you might have a problem going to an all-womens college, you probably shouldn't risk it. Yes, there are co-ed schools in the consortium with Smith (Amherst, UMass Amherst, Hampshire), but if you really like being with guys all the time, you might feel a little constrained in your social life. NYU and UCLA are obviously very, very good schools--probably on the same level.in terms of prestige. UCLA does have a good grad program, but just because you go to undergrad doesn't mean you'll have that much of a better chance getting into their grad school. NYU doesn't have the feel of a real campus, but UCLA is so big that it doesn't really have that either. But you're in NYC if you go to NYU, and you'll meet so many people that, in terms of making friends, you wouldn't have a hard time. Can you visit the schools? Getting a real feel for the school is important. Just go with your heart. They are all prestigious schools where you will get a great education. BU is a pretty prestigious school, actually.
