This Question Is From: Pharmacy Technician Schools in Massachusetts and has 2 Answers
My freshman year, my overall gpa is 1.27. I went to Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and was in the PharmD program. I don’t like it and I want to transfer to umass boston. They’re requirements for transfer is a 2.5 gpa but even though my 1.27 is crap, I know i can do better there cause from my experience first year at MCPHS. What are my chances of getting into this college? cause I really want to talk to the admission people so they can see where im coming from cause my gpa sucks. my high school gpa was a 3.00 and took AP classes. so please give me your opinions!

I highly doubt it. Umass is getting competitive because of the whole ‘more people are applying’ thing. Chances are they won’t accept anything below a 2.5 gpa because too many people apply and there isn’t enought space for everyone.
Then again, you can always petition it and state that it was just a first year fluke. My friend goes to MCoF, it’s tough.
It doesn’t hurt to try. Don’t give up. Good luck.
Darn! I just plugged in my crystal ball and it blew a fuse. Sorry, I guess you’ll have to talk to the people at UMass to find out if you’ll be accepted.
