Umass is getting competitive because of the whole 'more people are applying' thing. Chances are they won't accept anything below a 2.5 gpa because too many people apply and there isn't enought space for everyone. Then again, you can always petition it and state that it was just a first year fluke. My friend goes to MCoF, it's tough. It doesn't hurt to try. Don't give up. Good luck. I highly doubt it.
